OEM Canon Ink March 7, 2010 JonM4 (Michigan) I wouldn't trust any other brand to work with my Canon Pro9000 OR expect the printer to deliver the quality it does with OEM ink.
Printer ink is the new heroin March 2, 2010 bdgilfry@wildchildpublishing.com (California) This black replacement ink is as good as the original cartridge that came with the machine. While I own three Canon film cameras that are still going strong, I don't use a Canon digital camera; nevertheless, I am certainly impressed by their printer and ink!!!
I used to have a little Lexmark printer... $80 to buy, and $80 every few weeks for ink. When you buy a printer, you should know that you are marrying the company that produced it; they will be your supplier for ink until that printer dies, or you get frustrated at the high cost and throw it away.
I recently bought the Canon Pixma Pro 9000 MKII. It takes EIGHT ink cartridges. After printing literally dozens of 5x7s and 8x10s, I am beginning to believe that this printer will be cheaper in the long run, while producing print quality that rivals the big labs.
Fortunately, those EIGHT ink cartridges don't run out at the same time, and cost about $13 a pop here at Amazon.
I have only used Canon ink in this printer, and I have no intention of using anything else. Even if I have to buy two cartridges a month, I'm way ahead of the Lexmark cost-wise.
Ink can smear when highlighted December 26, 2009 Richard A. Wood (Juneau, Ak. USA) For a few years I used an Epson printer to print out USPS shipping labels on plain copy paper. I used a bright green highlighting marker to highlight the words DELIVERY CONFIRMATION . It never smeared. Recently I changed to a Canon MP810 and when I highlight these labels (about 10 minutes to an hour or more after printing) the ink smears. Other than that I have no problem with this ink (although I have not used it for color printing yet).
Good product November 8, 2009 N. Stephen Naegle (Utah, USA) It's an ink tank. It does what it is supposed to and lasts as long as I would expect it to.
wronk ink October 4, 2009 H. K. Mandare 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Amazon has done this twice to me now that they recommend the wrong ink for my printer. I know in someways its my fault for not making sure but inks looks so much alike and there are so many models for example the my printer is mp480 and this ink i bought went up all they way to mp470 i mean this is getting difficult to keep up with this stuff. THe ink looked exactly the same but it differed a little in size. I don't buy from stores because usally they are ridicously expensive and sometimes they don't even have the ink your looking for. I finally found the correct ink and they don't even reccomend it for my printer. But i do like the return policy that amazon has and that is something i found out is great about this site. This ink toner finder is the only problem i ever had with amazon but the return policy was very simple so i can't get to mad at them. I think the real problem is there are too many printer models and different ink cartrides!!!!!!!!!!!
