It works, but... July 12, 2009 Steven Chin (Nesconset, NY United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It was simple to install and it worked immediately. It fixed my color laser printer, but the complaint that I have is not the imaging kit, but the cost of the fix. I bought the entire color laser printer for about $100, but this imaging kit cost over $100. This means that it is more cost effective to buy a brand new one and not fix this one. That would have been wasteful, so as much as I hated to spend more money to fix it, I went ahead and bought this imaging kit. I am hoping that this imaging unit last at least a couple of years to assuage the insanity of the relative cost of the fix. My comment to the manufacturer is that they design more robust parts and if not, have a 3 year warranty instead of the 1 year warranty (which may imply that they are only responsible financially if the system only last one year which is not a good product...printer that is).
Superb Samsung Lazer Printer Parts April 9, 2009 Busy professional (Seattke) I have had the amazing Samsung CLP-300 for two years and have run tens of thousands of prints through it. It has never failed. But after heavy use you do have to replace the imaging roller. The Samsung replacement kit came in the mail---easy to install---and was ready in 10 minutes. Amazon sure makes it easy (and cheaper than going to the dealer) to keep this low cost lazer printer in operation.
It works great now... January 28, 2009 Kevin L. Golde (Cranston, RI USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought as a replacement for the imaging unit in my Samsung CLP-300N Laser Printer. I installed it last night and it seems to work great now. But the printer itself has been a nightmare. It has problems feeding the paper all the way through the printer, many times jamming about only an inch or two out of the paper tray. Lately it has been slipping so that the print is applied half an inch further down the page than it should be. I have had the printer just over a year, and then this Imaging Unit failed. It should have lasted for 20,000 pages, but has lasted less than 1500 pages. It remains to be seen how long this new one will last.
