HP Inks - wish they would last longer so I could print more pictures... but the quality is great.
New cartridge needed two cleaning cycles before using January 22, 2010

Perhaps this is normal with any new ink cartridge, but when I received this, the first print was lousy...and this was AFTER my printer did its automatic alignment procedure.
So, I ran the cartridge through a couple cleaning cycles until prints started looking good. This means wasted ink and wasted photo paper...just to get a NEW cartridge printing the way it should.
So, whatever anyone tells you is the expected number of photos you will get from this cartridge, keep in mind that the number will be decreased if your new ink cartridge requires this out-of-the-box cleaning.

I am pleased with the quantity and quality of this refill package. I ordered this item with overnight shipping and it arrived on time for less than I would have paid at the big box store around the corner from my office. I wanted it fast so that I could print pictures for out of town family. My Aunt was skeptical that my "at home print approach" would produce quality photos. We were all impressed with the quality of the prints. We've printed over 60 5x7's so far and the color is consistent. My local drugstore charges $1.59 per print so the cartridge and paper have already paid for themselves.

printed about 20 pictures to have the cartridge fail. I was unable to fix it per the manual and so I have to purchase a new one. I will never buy a cartridge online again. I never had a problem with store bought cartridges. It was outside of the 30 days that amazon gives you (i do not print pictures often). I made sure it was not a refurbished cartridge. It was an original hp. The item came from some company called blue something or other. BEWARE!
